Sussex G Rail
G
Rail Sussex Group's - End of Year meeting at Herstmonceux
Village Hall on 23rd November 2008.
Essentially we are a Garden Railway group interested in G Scale
Railways. These trains consist of models powered from the track,
battery, digital, radio controlled and steam. Our group consists
of around 75 members and we are affiliated to the “G Scale
Society”.
www.g-scale-society.co.uk
Our activities throughout the year consist of running trains,
mainly in Members gardens, and a program of events can be found
at
http://collinghurstrail.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/ with
details of who we are and what we do.
For
the past two years we have hired the Herstmonceux Village Hall
for an “inside” meeting and have opened our doors to the public
rather than just a private meeting of Members. This has enabled
our Members to have some fun without worrying about what the
weather is going to do and at the same time have the opportunity
to introduce our hobby to others. Herstmonceux Village Hall has
proved very good for us and our meetings and attendance have
grown since we decided to move our “End of Year” meet to this
venue.
Our philosophy is for everybody to have fun, and if you could
see some of the rolling stock that is run at some of our
meetings you would understand this more, So we welcome anybody
who would like to come along and see what it is we do.
